A hen party with a difference, in the authentic heart of Bari Old Town, combining local traditions, a touch of humour and special moments to share together.
This experience is designed to celebrate the bride-to-be in an original and engaging way, making her the star of a fun challenge inspired by local traditions and everyday life from times gone by.
She will be welcomed by some of the local ladies of the Old Town, true guardians of traditions, customs and skills passed down through generations. With their guidance, the bride-to-be will take on 4 challenges, selected from five traditional activities:
- washing the typical chianche, the stone paving of the Old Town;
- doing the laundry the old-fashioned way, using Marseille soap and a traditional wooden washboard;
- ironing a shirt;
- darning a sock;
- making traditional orecchiette pasta by hand.
With plenty of smiles and a touch of humour, each challenge is an opportunity to discover the customs and traditions of Bari up close and meet the people who continue to keep them alive today.
On foot or by bike? The choice is yours. There is no need to decide when booking: you can simply choose your preferred option when you arrive.
Along the way, there will also be time for music and fun, as a street performer gets the group singing and dancing together, creating a lively and memorable moment to share.
To round off the experience, enjoy a well-deserved aperitif, the perfect opportunity to relax, raise a glass together and celebrate the bride-to-be.
